Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has started delivering a new software update for the owners of Galaxy S III smartphones on its network.

The update arrives on handsets as build VRBMF1, and follows shortly another firmware released for the device, namely build VRBMD3.

The previous release, however, was pulled shortly after being made available for download, due to various issues that users had started to report on it.

For those out of the loop, we should note that build VRBMD3 was found to break Galaxy S III’s ability to connect to Verizon’s 4G LTE network.

With Verizon and Samsung acknowledging said problems, the new update is expected to arrive as a fix, thus restoring devices to normal operations, as droid-life notes. Users should head over to Settings > About phone > Software update to check its availability.
