Earlier this week, mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has announced the availability of its 4G LTE services in some more markets around the United States, and also confirmed the availability of VoLTE functionality starting with the next year.

As the operator explains, users will enjoy Voice over LTE (VoLTE) on their devices to take advantage of services such as HD Voice and video chat, among others.

The carrier did not provide specific info on when the feature will be fired up, but it should deliver more details on this in the coming months.

However, Verizon did announce that it was increasing the capacity of its LTE network through the deployment of AWS spectrum in major markets in the United States. At the moment, over two thirds of the carrier’s data traffic is made on its 4G LTE network.
