Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is reportedly gearing up for the release of some very appealing Android-based devices on its airwaves, in the very near future, though the company did not announce something officially on the matter. However, on top of a series of rumors regarding the carrier's plans, a leaked document emerged showing the price tags various phones would soon sport at the company.

What's rather interesting is that the said document lists the Motorola DROID Pro as being priced at only $179 on a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier, which is much lower than what was originally rumored, namely $299.

For what it's worth, this price tag would certainly make the DROID Pro one of the most appealing Android phones at Verizon, since it puts together a QWERTY keyboard and a touchscreen display.

However, as the guys over at Engadget note, the actual price tag for the smartphone would certainly be $279 with a $100 rebate at launch, which would be offered to Big Red's users in the form of a debit card.

Another interesting device that can be seen in the said document is the Samsung Continuum, reportedly packing two displays on the front, and expected to be announced officially on November 8th.

The handset should sport a price tag of $199 when made available for purchase at the carrier, the same price tag the Droid 2 Global would sport at the company when made available.

Droid 2 by Motorola sports a price tag of $149 on contract since not too long ago, supposedly set to be replaced with the global flavor in the near future.

Another smartphone that should arrive at Big Red soon is the HTC Merge, which might arrive sometime after November 17th, Engadget states.

Previous reports suggested that Verizon would have other devices in store for this holiday season too, though nothing was officially unveiled for the time being.

Keep an eye on this space for more info on the matter as the handsets near their release date.
