Verizon Preps Small Update for Spectrum by LG

Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is gearing up for the release of a new software update for its Spectrum by LG users, providing them with a series of performance improvements and with updated applications.

Soon after announcing the upcoming availability of software updates for its Droid Incredible 2 and Rezound, the carrier also confirmed a new update for LG’s smartphone, though no major changes have been included inside it, Android Police notes.

Following the update, users will enjoy enhanced apps such as Rhapsody, V CAST Apps, Verizon Video, V CAST, better dialer performance to initiate a call, improved LG keyboard actions, and the option to take a picture while on a voice call.

The update also adds “All calls to voicemail” option, and makes the power button to turn on LCD backlight while on a voice call, as Verizon explains on its support website.
