The 30-second TV ad seems to have been pulled from the air for now

It looks like Verizon doesn’t really know what it’s advertising all the time, so mistakes can happen. And when they do, everyone is laughing very hard.

The latest from a series of long failures from the Big Red has something to do with the new HTC One M8 for Windows, that has been recently launched in the United States as a Verizon exclusive.

The new smartphone appears in a 30-second TV ad that’s been aired a few times, we think. The said commercial is meant to advertise the 1GB Bonus Data promotion that customers may get when they sign up for a new data plan or upgrade.

Both the Windows Phone and Android versions of HTC One M8 should have appeared right at the end of the ad with the mention that you can get 50% off of all the new smartphones including these two.

Well, this is where Verizon messes up things. Instead of putting the Android version of HTC One M8 against the Windows Phone model, as intended, the carrier shows a completely different device.

According to AndroidCentral, the second device that should have been the HTC One M8 with Android is in fact the HTC One Remix, which is also available for purchase at Verizon.

The good news is that Verizon pulled the TV ad from being aired and is probably now fixing the hilarious issue. I sincerely hope that they’ll be showing the right device in the new TV commercial.
