Ringtones, ringback tones and full-track downloads from today's most popular artists

Verizon Wireless announced a deal with Wind-up Records that makes the independent record music label's catalog available for purchase and download on V CAST Music. The agreement adds songs from popular artists - such as Evanescence, Seether, Finger Eleven, 12 Stones, Stars of Track and Field, Drowning Pool, Creed & Scott Stapp; and movie soundtracks - such as "Walk the Line," to Verizon's catalog comprising more than 1.9 million songs. Owners of V CAST Music-enabled phones can also personalize their handsets with Wind-up Records artists's ringtones and ringback tones, such as the exclusive ringtone and ringback tone of Evanescence's current single, "Sweet Sacrifice" and Finger Eleven's "Paralyzer."

"We are thrilled to offer our catalog of music to Verizon Wireless customers. V CAST Music has become a proven platform for reaching music consumers and we are excited to work with Verizon Wireless to develop our artists in the mobile space," said Wind-up Records' president, Edward Vetri.

Verizon Wireless subscribers can acquire ringtones, ringback tones and full-track V CAST Music songs wirelessly from the following Wind-up Records artists and soundtracks: Seether, People in Planes, Walk the Line, Scott Stapp, Stefy, Evanescence,Submersed, Drowning Pool, Ben Moody, Pilot Speed, Finger Eleven, Stars of Track and Field, Strata, 12 Stones, Eric Durrance, Fantastic Four, Elektra, John Tucker Must Die, The Punisher.

"The addition of full-track over-the-air music downloads from Wind-up's independent artists once again demonstrates that Verizon Wireless is meeting the needs of our customers that have a diverse set of musical interests."

Using V CAST Music, Verizon Wireless subscribers can download songs over-the-air to their phones for $1.99 per song plus airtime (includes two copies of every song, one for the phone and one for the PC), or download songs to their PCs for 99 cents, and transfer their existing compatible music collections from the PC to their V CAST Music-enabled handsets or memory cards at no charge.
