If you’re the owner of an LG G Pad 8.3 tablet under Verizon, then it’s time for you to rejoice. The Android 4.4 KitKat update has just started rolling out for those of you who purchased the tab from Big Red.

Back in April, the OTA Android 4.4 KitKat update started rolling out for the Wi-Fi variant of the tablet, starting with territories such as the UK and the US.

Now, a few months later, the Verizon LTE counterpart is finally receiving the same treatment in terms of software updates.

The LG G Pad 8.3 ships with Android 4.2 out of the box and the company decided against updating the device to Android 4.3, jumping straight onboard with KitKat.

Anyway, Verizon LG G Pad 8.3 users will finally be able to enjoy all the perks and goodies of the chocolaty KitKat build. On top of that, the Knock Code feature, characteristic of newer LG smartphones, will be added onboard, too.

The update happens gradually, so you might have to wait a while before the OTA reaches you. Or if you feel like taking matters into your own hands, you can head on to Settings and check manually if the new build has arrived on your tablet.
