BlackBerry smartphone users on Verizon Wireless's network have now yet another offering from the carrier they can benefit from. The mobile phone operator announced on Thursday that it introduced an exclusive slotRadio+ microSD card for BlackBerry devices, which comes directly from SanDisk. According to the company, the new slotRadio+ microSD card delivers 1,000 popular songs from top-charting Billboard artists and 4GB of additional storage space that one can use for personal storage.

The new slotRadio+ microSD card, which comes in the form of a single memory card, offers BlackBerry users the possibility to enjoy the music capabilities of their devices to the full. They will receive not only the slotRadio+ card and application, but also the extra storage space on the microSD card which enables them to carry around photos, videos or music on their BlackBerry device.

“While listening to the hand-selected playlists on the slotRadio+ card, Verizon Wireless customers can easily connect via the touch of a button to V CAST Music to purchase many of the titles featured on the slotRadio+ card as full tracks, ringtones and ringback tones, as well as millions of other titles from V CAST Music, available over-the-air, to store them directly on the microSD card and enjoy them on their smartphone,” the carrier notes.

The new slotRadio+ card will only have to be inserted in the BlackBerry smartphone one owns, and then users will have to navigate using the web browser on the device to http://m.slotradio.com to download the slotRadio+ application. There are two versions of slotRadio+ card available for Verizon's users, a Billboard Hits one, with modern tracks, and a Billboard Decades version, with songs from the ’80s, the ’90s, and more.

The slotRadio+ card is set to become available for purchase starting today, January 29. Its price tag has been set at $49.99, and users will be able to enjoy it with a wide range of BlackBerry smartphones, including BlackBerry Curve 8530, BlackBerry Pearl 8130, BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230, BlackBerry Storm 9530, BlackBerry Storm2 9550, BlackBerry Tour 9630 and BlackBerry 8830 World Edition smartphone.
