14 DAY TRIAL // HTC and T-Mobile have just announced that the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update is now being rolled out to One M8 devices across the country. However, there are other customers who purchased their HTC One M8 devices through other carriers and have yet to get the highly anticipated update.
Well, it looks like Verizon HTC One M8 won’t be getting the upgrade along with the T-Mobile version. According to HTC’s VP Jason Mackenzie, his company aims to deliver the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update by mid-September.
Obviously, this could mean anything and HTC One M8 owners might still receive the update this month, but considering Verizon’s previous history we doubt that will happen.
Anyway, in case there are any improvements regarding the rollout of Android 4.4.3 KitKat for Verizon One M8, HTC is likely to share it with fans.
For those unaware, Android 4.4.3 KitKat would be the last major update the HTC One M8 will receive before Android L, which will also arrive on the smartphone within three month of its official announcement.
HTC confirmed that it has included all the security enhancements from Android 4.4.4 KitKat into Android 4.4.3, so One M8 will still have the latest version of the operating system available on the market.
