Customers have to pay $99, save $50

Verizon Wireless quietly announced that all Droid X buyers will have the possibility to pick up a 32GB SanDisk microSDHC memory card for only $99 USD. The price is $50 lower than the standard price you get on the market, which means Verizon is subsidizing the product.

So, if you intend to boost the 8GB internal memory storage that the smartphone comes with, this is a good opportunity to make it happen. That will greatly increase the storage space of your Droid X up to 40 GB. Bear in mind that the device also comes with a 16GB microSDHC card included in the sale package, so if you're on a low budget stick with this one – 24GB is still a lot of storage space.

Verizon started to sell Droid X for $199.99 after a mail-in rebate and a two-year contract agreement for new and eligible customers. It seems that the operator also allows its subscribers with their plans ending by December 31 to upgrade without any money penalty.

Here is another interesting special offer made by the network operator: Verizon is also giving a $50 gift card with all purchases of any Droid phone. Further, if they will eventually run out, they will continue to take orders and then shipping two-day Fed-Ex.

There are also some interesting NFL skins exclusively available for Droid X that you can get for a lower price. You can get even more good deals buying the Droid X from Verizon. Some offerings haven't been advertised too much, but can be ordered directly from the operator's stores, but you need to ask about these.

All in all, Verizon is pretty determined to boost Droid X's sales by any means necessary, and offering cheaper accessories and exclusivities is a good way to market a product.
