There’s been a lot of debate on the upcoming Android 4.0.4 ICS software update for Verizon Galaxy Nexus, which was leaked several weeks ago.

Since the update was published at XDA Developers, Galaxy Nexus owners who did not want to wait for the official release have flashed and rooted their devices.

However, it appears that the leaked Android 4.0.4 did not fix all the problems of the smartphone, which leads us to believe that this wasn’t the final build.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus owners will be happy to know that there’s another Android 4.0.4 build number IMM76K, which is currently being pushed OTA (over the air).

Unfortunately, there’s no telling how long it might take until the update reaches all Galaxy Nexus devices. Reports coming from Galaxy Nexus owners who called Verizon’s support tech claim that this update will be pushed to all devices by the end of the month.

Although it started as a rumor, Android 4.0.4 build IMM76K for Galaxy Nexus proves to be real, so those who want to manually flash it can head over to the original thread for additional details.

So far, the number of Galaxy Nexus owners who received the update OTA (over the air) is pretty low. The main reason seems to be the fact that Google is now testing this build on a limited number of handsets.

Those who flashed the update noticed it came with new radios,  improving signal strength. In fact, it appears that only the CDMA radio is completely new, while the LTE radio has been patched.

Obviously, there’s no official changelog until the update goes official at Verizon Wireless, but those who are anxious to flash it manually can head over to XDA Developers for more details on what else is included in the Android 4.0.4 IMM76K for Galaxy Nexus.
