Verizon Brings Automotive Content on Mobile Phones

- Car and Driver images for automotive enthusiasts

By: Florin Troaca, Communications News Editor

Verizon Wireless thought about all the automotive enthusiasts out there that are equally enthusiastic about cell phones, and today launched a new application called Car and Driver SlideShow. Developed by Viva Vision, a top provider of mobile entertainment content, the application
is an interactive SlideShow one that will bring users the latest automotive images from Car and Driver, the famous American automotive magazine.

Car and Driver SlideShow will allow mobile users to view a large number of images (more than 100 per month) with the best automobiles, speed vehicles and concept cars that appear in the Car and Driver magazine. The application packs the received content in seven SlideShow categories (like Hot Cars, Concept Cars or Luxury Cars), each of them containing 10 images. The platform created by Viva Vision for Car and Driver SlideShow gives users a full control of the slide-shows, thus they can rewind, pause or fast-forward whenever they want.

"Viva Vision is taking still images to the next level with SlideShows," said Ryan Hughes, vice president of digital programming for Verizon. "We think our customers will enjoy the refreshing format."

"Our SlideShow products expand the entertainment and content options for Verizon Wireless customers," said Nick Montes, president of Viva Vision. "We are excited to be chosen as Verizon Wireless' exclusive SlideShow partner and look forward to providing more mobile applications that will entertain consumers."

The new Car and Driver SlideShow application is available for Verizon's subscribers for a $4.49 monthly fee and is compatible with almost 50 phones, including LG's Venus and Chocolate, MOTORIZR Z6tv, MOTORAZR maxx Ve, Samsung Alias and so on. Users who want to have Car and Driver SlideShow on their handsets can get it from the Picture & Video shopping area of Verizon's Get It Now virtual store.
