Verizon is in the business of selling a number of cellular-capable tablets including models coming from Apple, Samsung, LG, ASUS and Nokia. The company also has the 7-inch Verizon Ellipsis Android tab up for sale, with an affordable price tag.

But according to newly discovered documents (as seen at Liliputing), an 8-inch Verizon tablet is also being readied for launch.

The tablet has been spotted at the Bluetooth SIG website and at the Wi-Fi Alliance, but even so we’re still in the dark regarding specifications.

The first website lists the product as the “Verizon Tablet PC” coming with Bluetooth 4.0 support, while the second one reveals the model number – OTAQZ3.

The tablet will be sold by Verizon, so naturally, it will come with 3G/4G capabilities. Since that’s the whole story for the time being, in what follows I can only make a few guesses about the specs of the upcoming tab.

If we’re to look at the Ellipsis 7 for clues, the product was a basic model, selling for just $50 / €37 on a two-year contract.

The slate arrived with a 7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor inside. In all likelihood, the 8-incher will sport a similar configuration and won’t be anything too fancy or high-end.
