Symantec’s Identity and Authentication Services team welcomes VeriSign Japan on board. The acquisition of the business partner has been complete in an effort to enhance the company’s offering on the Japanese market.

“Symantec, with VeriSign Japan, is positioned to help Japanese organizations incorporate identity and authentication security into a comprehensive framework – all from one vendor,” said Fran Rosch, VP of the Identity and Authentication Services at Symantec.

“This will help enable IT to confidently and securely adopt new computing models that promise tremendous operational efficiencies and freedom of choice for their employees and customers. By combining Symantec and VeriSign Japan, we are extending our strategy to create the most trusted brand for protecting people and information.”

Rosch explained that this move would not only expand VeriSign Japan’s current SSL offerings, but it would also allow customers to benefit from both Symantec’s global expertise and the local team’s resources.

Japanese organizations looking to secure their websites will be able to find everything they need from one vendor.
