Flash drives come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and speeds and capacities of course, but Verbatim seems bent on establishing a whole new form factor, or comes close to doing it, with the newest Store 'n' Go drive, the Clip-it.

Verbatim has definitely released a great many flash drives over the years, always showing some new optimization or design element.

The newest series of Store 'n' Go memory sticks is more than visibly focused on compactness, actually featuring a very small form factor, just about as large as a paper clip.

In fact, this small size is, most likely, the source of its name, the Clip-it, and Verbatim even went ahead and gave it the ability to act as one.

The Clip-it was designed by Arman Emani and “makes it easier for you to keep all your data together in one place, whether it is electronic or not.”

“Now you can send and store documents together with media files without having to use CD’s or email attachments,” states the official announcement.

“This is a huge advantage of this USB Drive, as it weighs literally nothing, so it will not cause extra postal charges. It really combines the best of both worlds!”, says Hans-Christoph Kaiser, Business Development Manager Verbatim.

Basically, the Clip-it is a very tiny flash drive that works on the USB 2.0 interface and comes in multiple color options, seven to be exact.

The list of colors should let the product appeal to a wide range of consumers and includes green, pink, blue, orange, yellow and, of course, black and white.

Finally, Verbatim is offering the newcomer with two capacities, 2GB and 4GB, and proudly revealed that the device has been granted the Red Dot ‘Best of the Best’ 2010. award.

The 2GB models sell for 8.99 Euro, whereas the 4GB drive has a price tag of 11.49 Euro.
