Even though NAS (network-attached storage) devices generally have more or less large frames, in order to accommodate 3.5-inch HDDs, the new product that Verbatim has come up with is quite different.

The new electronic that Verbatim put together goes by the name of MediaShare Mini.

Basically, it can be seen as a sort of successor or special iteration of the MediaShare NAS, which is about three times as large as the new Mini.

The newcomer is specifically designed to enable multiple storage devices of various types to connect to one's home network.

Up to four drives can be connected simultaneously, after which any network-connected PC can access the data stored on them, either through the network or via the Internet.

The MediaShare Mini achieves this by means of four USB connectors, which also means that other types of electronics can be connected to it.

According to the official product page, the list of such devices includes the iPad, iPhones, iPod touch, Blackberry, Palm Pre and mostly any other mobile gadget with an USB port.

Furthermore, Verbatim claims that the newcomer also provides users with the possibility of streaming music and photos through DLNA-certified digital media adapters.

This includes Sony Playstation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360, among other things, though the functionality of the MediaCenter Mini does not end here.

Users will be able to directly upload photos to social networking sites like Facebook and Flickr.

In fact, consumers should even have all the means they need to upload, download and manage files (viewing photos, playing music and watching videos being just some examples).

Those interested in a first-hand view of all information available on the Verbatim MediaShare Mini need only visit the official product page. Online stores should be listing it, or will soon do so, for a price of $90.
