Windows Phone handsets have started to receive new software updates in various markets around the world, in a move that was reiterated by Microsoft only a few days ago.

Specific smartphones running under Microsoft's mobile operating system are currently tasting a new wave of updates, which are being delivered by their manufacturers.

Unlike the software that the Redmond-based company has been struggling to release on handsets since February, and which landed on the last units starting with yesterday, the new updates are hardware-specific, and should be pushed to users much faster.

Since they come from manufacturers, the new updates will bring a series of enhancements that only the devices they are aimed for will enjoy, such as fixes, performance improvements, better battery life, and the like.

Among the handsets that started to taste the new updates, we can count the Dell Venue Pro, along with Samsung's Omnia 7, the LG Optimus 7, and the HTC Mozart.

“The Dell Venue Pro firmware update starts rolling out today for T-Mobile customers in the US + all other customers outside the US,” a recent tweet from @LionelatDell reads.

This is the software update that Dell announced at the end of June, and which was presented in detail at that time. You can read our post on the matter here.

Unfortunately, it seems that specific info on what was included in the updates that landed on the other three devices is not known for the time being.

However, the same as with Dell's smartphone, they should receive improvements and fixes, all meant at making the experience that users receive from their handsets much pleasant than before.

Undoubtedly, these phone makers will soon provide some details on what was included with the new updates for their devices in the near future, so keep an eye on this space to learn more on the matter.
