George Clooney's wedding might have passed, but there are still reports about who came, what they did and more importantly, who didn't attend in the end. Today, there is a new report about the impact the wedding had on a certain category of people – local police officers.

Entertainmentwise claims that the police force in Venice made a handsome sum of money from the wedding of the actor from several activities. The most important one was fining some of the people that broke the law in trying to sneak a peek at the wedding and its guests.

Police made thousands from fining photographers that broke the law in order to get a glimpse of the couple

It is estimated that between 10 and 20 thousand dollars in fines were issued by police to photographers who tried to snap the couple but did not adhere to certain rules. Some photographers were even issued with more than one fine a day, and the money will go to the town's budget for sure.

Several other fines were given again to photographers who showed up in unregistered boats, other who sped and had a host of other offenses against them. The grand total is estimated at around $30, 000 (€23,724) in fines alone.

Clooney himself paid the police to keep people at bay while he had the wedding

But that was not the end of the big pay day for the local Venetian police. Clooney himself rounded off that income by taking money out of his own pocket and paying for guard services. It seems that the protection company he had on the spot was a bit overwhelmed and George had to resort to local police enforcement to help him keep the public at bay.

The town's municipality official, Michela Camozzi confirmed that €2,848 ($3,601) was paid to the local police force for their assistance on the wedding day. Law enforcement dispatched two boats and two agents from the traffic warden police to take care of the traffic on the city's canals close to the wedding, because of the “noticeably higher presence of taxis and boats traveling to the parties.”

There were also six officers on foot who restricted public access to the registry office where the official ceremony took place, making sure that no one from the public would crash the party.

For Clooney, the bill was just a drop in the bucket, since the entire wedding is said to have cost millions. Not that it came from his pocket, because many tabloids insisted Lebanese tradition requires the father of the bride to pay for the wedding. It's not sure where Ramzi Alamuddin, Amal's father, had that kind of cash, but it's reported that he held true to his promise.
