Belgium has introduced fry dispensers, vending machines that roll out your fries in about 90 seconds.

According to SCMP, the machines have been distributed and installed in Belgium by BreakTime Solutions, after previously being implemented in India and Romania.

"This device was tested in India and in Romania," BreakTime Solutions spokesperson, Tuline Bey has described.

One bag of fries costs €2.50 ($3.3) and it weighs about 135 grams (4.8 ounces). The machines use beef fat to cook the product, and they have had to be adapted for use of animal oil. They are also equipped with filters that eliminate the smell.

Customers are also provided with a plastic fork, salt and ketchup or mayonnaise for every serving.

Belgium was the first country to serve fries or “frites,” a historical reference which is often attributed to the French.
