Vendetta Online for Mac Adds Nine New Missions, One Weapon

Guild Software has released two new patches for its massively-multiplayer online space strategy game, Vendetta Online. Currently at version 1.8.34, Vendetta Online features a new ship variant, nine new missions for low level players, a new weapon, and more. The bugs reported in previous versions of the game have also been fixed.

Vendetta Online is a massively multiplayer game that lest players create their characters as they desire, turning them into rich captains of industry, military heroes, or outlaws. The game boasts realtime "twitch" style combat and RPG gameplay elements.

A full list of enhancements brought by the latest patch, bringing Vendetta Online to version 1.8.34, is available right below.

- Nine brand-new missions for lower level players.
- New Weapon: Gauss Canon MkIII
- Sector Changes: Verasi O7 has been modified and now has a test of border defenses.
- New update server and client update architecture allow automatic failover to secondary update server if the primary update server is unavailable.
- Voice Chat falls back to default device if currently selected audio device is not available, usually if an USB headset is selected but unplugged.
- Fixed problem when accepting EULA too quickly causes connecting to not complete.
- Fixed small memory leak in Mac version.
- Fixed bug with new mission objective list prevented mission log from being scrolled all the way down.
- Fixed misc lua errors.

Vendetta Online requires 1GHz G3/G4 or better; 384MB of RAM; 3D Hardware Accelerator - Fully OpenGL compatible 32MB videocard with Hardware Transformation & Lighting (T&L); Keyboard/Mouse; CD-ROM drive; 200MB of hard drive space; at least 56k internet connectivity and, of course, a Vendetta Online account.
