Guild Software published a few days ago details about a new update for their awesome Vendetta Online 3D space combat massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS operating systems.

According to the release notes, which have been attached at the end of the article for reference, Vendetta Online 1.8.340 is a modest maintenance release that includes several interesting new features, a bug fix, as well as some experimental changes and performance improvements.

Among the new features implemented, we can mention an all-new station design for Dau L10, which now integrates the components of Capship Hangar, and the maximum rentable cargo capacity of the new capship-capable stations has been increased to 100,000 cu, but players should keep in mind that they still have to pay for extended cargo space.

The local ship has been made properly visible when Trident pilots switch to a turret view, the ore of a Trident is now correctly put into its cargo hold during mining, and a bug related to the collision of a persistent Trident with the player's copy while attempting to do a change-over operation has been fixed.

An experimental feature has been added

Vendetta Online 1.8.340 gets an experimental feature that makes the radar and fog limitations impact the aggression and target visibility of a bot. Players are being warned that this can have unwanted secondary effects, forcing them to tweak the functionality constantly. Also, radar extenders have been integrated in Strikeforce NPCs.

Guild Software informs users that they will add more fully customized stations in future updates of Vendetta Online, which will replace existing stations that have recently received capship hangars. Download Vendetta Online 1.8.340 as a demo from Softpedia or via the project's website.
