Venafi Launches Threat Center

Venafi, an IT security solutions provider that specializes in Next-Generation Trust Protection (NGTP), has launched the Venafi Threat Center. The role of the Threat Center is to monitor the increase in trust-based attacks and their impact on global organizations.

“For too long organizations have blindly trusted keys and certificates that provide little visibility into their threat risk exposure,” noted Jeff Hudson, Venafi CEO.

“Malicious actors have taken note of this blind trust and use it nefariously against organizations and government entities. The results are clear: terabytes of valuable information and intellectual property are being pilfered from them for months before a compromise is even detected,” Hudson added.

“Venafi Threat Center is at the forefront of Next-Generation Trust Protection (NGTP), helping organizations respond to and remediate trust-based attacks.”

The new Venafi Threat Center provides information on current threats related to compromised keys and certificates, recommended strategies that can be used by organizations to defend themselves against trust-based attacks, and details on how encryption keys and certificates establish trust.

Recent studies have shown that, over the past two years, most organizations have fallen victim to attacks that leveraged their keys and certificates. The figures show that it takes over 60% of companies between 24 hours and one week to replace the compromised assets.
