Velocity Micro Launches First Pre-Configured 8800 GTX Based PC

Nvidia has been cooking this plan for a while. I mean the launch of 8800 series at the same time with the new nForce 600i line. And that makes perfect sense since in order to run SLI configurations of any Nvidia products, you need a certified mainboard
that could only come from them. Nice idea, isn't it?

And if you add a 680i SLI board to your system, you will also end up with a hard overclocker which surpasses some of the best boards using INTEL chipsets. As a conclusion, you could say that this combination results in something like an ultimate gaming system. And for some of you, that can be of most importance.

As a continuation of the story, most system integrators started offering all kinds of new products featuring either nForce 680i or G80 video cards. Velocity Micro, on the other hand, succeeded in building the first PC that offers both technologies.

The new "Raptor" line comes with two eVGA cards based upon 8800GTX series and also features a mainboard from the same manufacturer using a 680i chipset. 4 WD 150 Raptor hard drives in Raid configuration come preinstalled and you also get an 18x Plextor DVD-Writer. And the list can continue forever. Note that this PC uses TEC cooling based and is being powered by a 1KW PCP PSU. At this amazing price, the system, unfortunately, does not include a monitor.
