It holds flowers in place in such a way that they become a vase

Flower arrangements come in all sorts, and they are something that florist specialize in, often coming up with new and improved designs.

Yet, there may be those who would want to put together something themselves. Bonus points if they could do it quickly.

Lambert Rainville a student at the Royal College of Art, has invented a means to allow for precisely that: the Crown Vase.

In all honesty, the Crown Vase is not actually a vase at all. Instead, it is made of a shallow disk full of water (keeps flowers alive for more than a day), as well as a plastic brace that holds the flowers upright (well, almost), making them look like a vase themselves. The flowers stand on their own stems.

It's not for everyone of course, but it can definitely change the look of a room if placed in a good location.
