With the official launch of Windows Phone 8 drawing near, it was only a matter of time before users were provided with the possibility to reserve devices for acquisition as soon as they are released, and people in the UK can do that as well.

Online retailer Clove has a wide selection of such handsets listed on its website, including the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820, as well as the Windows Phone 8X and 8S by HTC, and the Samsung ATIV S device.

The great news for UK mobile phone users is that, apart from the Samsung device, all the other mobile phones can be acquired in a wide range of color flavors.

Nokia Lumia 920, for example, is listed as available in Black, Grey, Red, White and Yellow, while the Lumia 820 can be seen in Black, Cyan, Green, Grey, Purple, Red, White and Yellow.

HTC’s first Windows Phone 8 smartphones will land on shelves in multiple color flavors as well, including Black, Blue and Red.

Unfortunately, the retailer has made available for pre-order only the Samsung ATIV S, which can be seen on this page with a price tag of £442.8 ($710 / €544) attached to it, as well as the HTC 8X and HTC 8S.

HTC’s flagship Windows Phone 8X sports a price tag of £399.98 (641 / €491), while the lower spec’d Windows Phone 8S by HTC is priced at £224.99 ($361 / €276).

The retailer also notes that Samsung’s handset is expected to arrive in stock in late October (without a specific release date attached to it, unfortunately), that the HTC 8X is set to hit shelves on November 2nd, and that 8S should become available for purchase on November 15th.

The first stock of Nokia Lumia 920 is expected to arrive in early November, but an official launch timeframe hasn’t been yet provided. No info on when Lumia 820 will be released, or on its price tag is available right now.
