The 2014 VF Hollywood Issue is actually the 20th so far, so the prestigious magazine chose to celebrate 2 decades of honoring accomplishment in film with a superb blend of talent.

“The cover, a three-panel foldout by Vanity Fair contributing photographer Annie Leibovitz, features Oscar nominees Julia Roberts (“August: Osage County’), Chiwetel Ejiofor (‘12 Years a Slave’), Jared Leto (‘Dallas Buyers Club’), and Lupita Nyong’o (‘12 Years a Slave’), as well as Idris Elba (‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’), George Clooney (‘Gravity’), Michael B. Jordan (‘Fruitvale Station’), Naomie Harris (‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’), Brie Larson (‘Short Term 12’), Chadwick Boseman (‘42’), Margot Robbie (‘The Wolf of Wall Street’), and Léa Seydoux (‘Blue Is the Warmest Color’),” the magazine says in the preview issue.

Most of these actors or the films they’re in are nominated for an Oscar in this year’s race.

The nominees for Best Film are “American Hustle,” “Nebraska,” “Captain Phillips,” “Philomena,” “Dallas Buyers Club,” “12 Years Slave,” “Gravity,” and “The Wolf of Wall Street.” Industry insiders consider “Dallas Buyers Club” and “12 Years a Slave” favorites to win.
