She’s a singer and a famous actress, as well as a former beauty queen (Miss America nonetheless) who has often been praised for her exotic looks. At 46, Vanessa Williams is still one of the most remarkable female presences in Hollywood and a stunner as well, but it’s not all down to good genes, as the star reveals in a recent interview with Essence magazine.

It’s common knowledge that celebrities rarely, if ever, admit to resorting to surgery or other beautifying treatments to stay wrinkle-free and fight off old age for as long as possible. According to the latest magazine interview, Williams is not one of them, since she has no problem with coming clean with her beauty secrets, that is, Botox and expensive anti-ageing treatments.

“Twice a year I receive Botox injections from a doctor whom I trust very much. I also have some favorite beauty products that I use on a daily basis – Perfekt’s Skin Perfection Gel and Mila Moursi’s moisturizing oil.” the actress says when asked about which are her “beauty secrets” and the products one is most likely to find in her bathroom. In openly admitting to Botox injections, the “Ugly Betty” star joins a relatively short line of other female celebs to plain out say that they refuse to grow old naturally, at least, as long as the jab is still available.

“I’ve tried Botox, I’ve tried them all. I’m definitely not one of those people who says, ‘You shouldn’t do this.’ Everyone can individually do what they want. For all time women have wanted to, for the most part, look their best. It’s just that what we have available to us today is what it is today and if you want to take advantage of it, yeah.” singer Kylie Minogue was saying a short while back, insisting that each woman or man is free to choose to get it and have the right not to be judged because of it.

British television star Amanda Holden of Britain’s Got Talent fame has also admitted to getting Botox, the only difference being that, in her case, she couldn’t live without it now, comparing getting the jab to having her teeth whitened.
