Johnny Depp is a taken man: despite saying only a few days ago that he had no intention of marrying Vanessa Paradis, he popped the question and there’s proof of it. The July 2011 issue of Vogue UK has a clear picture of Vanessa’s engagement ring.
Johnny and Vanessa make one of the strongest, most beautiful, stylish and private couples in showbiz, as fans must surely know by now.
They have two children together and such a lovely family that they believe a piece of paper like a marriage certificate can’t possibly be seen as an improvement.
The Ageless Style issue of
Vogue UK brings confirmation that the two have actually had a change of heart – and will soon be heading down the aisle to exchange vows.
Aside from the photo in which Vanessa can be seen wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger (which, celebrity pundits swear, was not there before), the preview of Vogue also says this:
“Vanessa Paradis, like all women who are stylish no matter what their age, possesses that certain je ne sais quoi – and Vogue’s Ageless Style issue for July reveals their secrets.
“The issue features Paradis –
sporting her diamond engagement ring,” the magazine adds (emphasis ours).
As of now, that’s all the information available. Chances of a magazine as famous as Vogue UK to mess up and write a lie are slim to none, so this must mean that, indeed, Johnny proposed to Vanessa.
Perhaps the issue of the mag will come with more details, hopefully a statement from Paradis as well.
As we
also noted a short while ago, in a recent interview, Johnny gushed about the mother of his children, saying it was love at first sight - and he knew it the moment he saw her for the first time, even though she was with her back at him.
“I saw Vanessa across a room – and I first saw only her back! But I immediately thought: ‘That’s the woman for me.’ That was nearly 12 years ago,” he said.
