14 DAY TRIAL // Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are no longer a couple, after 14 years together. As rumor is picking up that at the core of the split was his infidelity and particularly his romancing co-star Amber Heard, a new report says Vanessa is determined to keep her out of her children's life.
Reports say that Johnny and Vanessa's issues go back as early as 2010, when they simply realized they'd fallen out of love with each other, mostly because of their many fights on his career.
Since then, Depp has been linked in the press with a series of gorgeous women, with Heard among them. They starred together in “The Rum Diary.”
According to insiders, Johnny and Amber are still together, a situation that must surely upset Amber's better half as well: she's been in a relationship with another woman for quite some time.
Vanessa too knows of the romance and has decided to do her best to keep Amber out of the life of her children with Johnny, the Daily Mail claims, citing ongoing reports in the British media.
“Vanessa's devastated that Johnny’s dumped her. She blames Amber and calls her a man-stealing, two-bit nobody and has vowed to not let her anywhere near their children,” a source familiar with the situation is quoted as saying.
“According to reports, Amber, 26, has been a 'regular visitor' to the New Mexico set of The Lone Ranger where Depp has been shooting the movie. A source claims Depp is smitten by the Hitchcock blonde, and reportedly said: 'When I first saw Amber, it was like seeing an old-time movie star like Lauren Bacall',” the Mail goes on to say.
In the meantime, Vanessa is dealing with the split in the most gracious manner possible: she's refusing to talk about it to the press (let alone to bad mouth her – allegedly – cheating ex) and she's already put her game face on for her first red carpet appearance since the announcement.
Behind closed doors, reports say, she's fighting tooth and nail for what she believes is rightfully hers.
Because she's been with Johnny for so many years and has even helped him become the A-list Hollywood star he is today, she stands a good chance at getting a good chunk of his money in the palimony case her lawyers are building, as we also reported a short while ago.
