After kissing Colin Farrell in "Alexander" and Robert Downey Jr. in "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang", Val Kilmer would better prepare for an avalanche of scripts requiring him to play a homosexual.
The 45-year-old actor says this doesn't bother him, joking about it:
"I'll be the straight actor they keep calling whenever they need someone to play a gay role.
While all of the gay actors I know will keep being cast in straight roles."
Maybe his future performances will also bring him Madonna's hail, as the singer has recently praised Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger for portraying gay cowboys in their forthcoming movie "Brokeback Mountain": "They're really good those boys and they did a great job. It's very brave of them", she said.
Val Kilmer is currently single. He was married to British actress Joanne Whalley, from March 1988 until February 1996.
He had met her on the sets of "Willow" in 1988. The couple has two children.
The actor has revealed that his divorce from Joanne Whalley was the most painful thing he has ever experienced.
He found out he was getting a divorce while watching CNN in a hotel room.
"It was no fun", Val said at the time.
