Ye Olde SteamOSe , a respin of the SteamOS distro developed by Valve that features support for Legacy BIOS and none of the limitations of the official operating system, has just received its fourth update.

The name of the distribution is Ye Olde SteamOSe and it features a few interesting options. For example, it works with UEFI or BIOS, works from a DVD or a 1GB USB Stick, supports dual-boot on non-LVM non-RAID systems, and more.

Highlights of Ye Olde SteamOSe 20140108u1:

• The distribution has been built against Valve's 2014-01-08 release for SteamOS; • Support has been added for Logical Volume Management (disables recovery partition if used for /, /boot/recovery, or swap); • Support has been added for md software RAID (disables recovery partition if used for /, /boot/recovery, or swap; may also support FakeRAID but untested!).
