Portal, an innovative single-player game developed and published by Valve, has been launched officially on Linux and already received a few patches.

Portal was first released back in 2007, along with Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. Valve still needs to update this old title, especially now, after being made available on Steam for Linux.

Highlights of the latest Portal updates:

• A few scenes that haven't been playing properly, preventing the forward progress in a level, have been fixed; • Advanced chambers are now unlocking after finishing the game; • A rendering issue, that occurred when taking damage, has been fixed; • The background map, that was used when a non-standard FOV is selected, has been fixed.

Keep in mind that Portal is still in the beta stages. Problems are bound to appear. More details about the patch can be found on the official website.
