The Gamescom website has "controller" written for Valve's products description

Valve is attending next month's Gamescom event in Germany, and the company might also bring its Steam Controller to the show, according to the listing on the Gamescom website.

The page suggests that Valve's booth will include "controllers," which could mean that we could see how the company's project has evolved since it was last seen, at the Game Developers Conference in March.

However, the website has been known to list erroneous information in the past, stating, for instance, that Half-Life 3 would be at the show, two years ago.

However, that doesn't mean that seeing the controller again isn't more plausible than seeing one of the White Whales of gaming make an appearance.

Gamescom 2014 will take place in Cologne, Germany, from August 13 through August 17. The show is open to the public, so anyone present there might be able to get some hands-on time with Valve's Steam Controller, should the company showcase it at its booth, which is likely the case.

The prototype shown last September didn't go through any major transformations until it was unveiled at this year's edition of the GDC, and the controller is rumored to debut sometime this fall, although Valve has not yet confirmed any such details.
