The Left 4 Dead 2 Beta for Linux has been released for a few days now, but it seems that players are not swarming it, as expected.

It seems that a lot of users, including from the Linux platform, have been confused about the release of a Left 4 Dead 2 beta.

“Currently, changes to L4D2 will first appear in the Beta before they appear in the main game. The Beta will change often.

“Right now the Beta is the only place you can play L4D2 on Linux natively. If you run Linux, load it up and give it a try,” reads the announcement from Valve.

Besides Linux port, Valve also released an update for the Authoring Tools, which allows the user to work in the new EMS. Unfortunately, the tools are only available on the Windows platform, for now.
