Gabe Newell, the boss of Valve Software, the studio behind massively successful games like Team Fortress 2, Portal or Left 4 Dead, still hasn't grown sick and tired of the constant questions concerning Half Life 2: Episode 3, the next installment in its hugely successful first-person shooter series.

Valve has kept itself quite busy lately, pushing many releases onto its Steam platform and on consoles, including big updates for Team Fortress 2 or all-new games like Portal 2.

But while all of these things have delighted fans, there's still the perpetual question of when the company will actually release Half Life 2: Episode 3, the last part of the Half Life 2 episodic trilogy, which has been in the making for quite some time.

As you can imagine, Newell is constantly flooded with this question, but, as he revealed to Eurogamer, he hasn't gotten sick and tired, although he still doesn't have anything to say about it.

"I understand why people ask about it," Newell said about Half Life 2: Episode 3. "I'm not sick and tired of it. But I don't have anything to say."

Newell even applauded the dedication of Valve fans concerning this matter, highlighting that some even arrived recently in front of the company's headquarters with cardboard signs demanding the new Half Life installment.

"We know our customers really well. We talk to them all the time. They show up outside our office with cardboard signs. We like being part of the gaming community and we understand what they're telling us. We think they understand where we're coming from. They get mad at us, and they let us know. Other times they're really happy with us and they let us know that as well. Gamers are passionate and they're smart and they're effective communicators. And they have our email addresses. So we know what they think. It's good. It helps us be a better company."

Sadly, seeing as how Valve is now all hands on deck for two major upcoming projects, Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, it seems that it's still going to be a while until we hear anything concrete about Half Life 2: Episode 3.
