14 DAY TRIAL // Valiant Hearts: The Great War, the upcoming adventure game from Ubisoft set during the World War 1, has just received a June 25 release date across the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms, not to mention a new video and a few screenshots.
These last few months, Ubisoft has been busy hyping up the upcoming Watch Dogs action adventure game, but it's also devoting time to smaller projects from inside its global studios, like the recently released Child of Light and the upcoming Valiant Hearts: The Great War.
The latter, coming from a team inside Ubisoft Montpellier, the studio responsible for hits like Rayman Legends, is trying to deliver a puzzle adventure game that takes place during the first world war.
"Valiant Hearts: The Great War is the story of crossed destinies and a broken love in a world torn apart. It gives players the chance to live a touching yet comical adventure which focuses on the journey of four people as they brave the battles and difficulties of the Great War following their faithful canine companion," the publisher said about the new game.
"All of the main characters are inextricably drawn together, and friendship, love, sacrifice and tragedy befall each as they help each other to retain their humanity against the horrors of war."
The game has now received a June 25 release date, when it will be deployed across current and last-gen platforms, as well as on PC worldwide via digital distribution services.
Besides the launch day, Ubisoft has also emphasized the key role the UbiArt Framework engine played in bringing to life the stunning visuals of the game.
"The team is using the UbiArt Framework to easily and efficiently animate the game’s comic-book style, which consists of a wide-ranging color palette – from the dank trenches to green forests and snowy fields – that provides stunning scenic variety and visual contrast."

Valiant Hearts: The Great War will be released for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms for 15 USD/EUR on June 25.
