Ten days to go, and dozens of Valentine's apps are already available for iPhone / iPod touch owners. Instead of our usual free picks, we took on Valentine's-focused apps. Three of the best we could find are available below for immediate download. Don't forget to read what they're about.
Candy Hearts“Show someone you love them today!” says James Bellanca. “Everyone's familiar with candy hearts that appear around Valentine's Day - now you can create and send your own any time of the year!” says the developer.
Candy Hearts lets users create photo-realistic candy hearts and apply any four-line message they can think of. Other options include the ability to choose a color, decide whether to use a background, even pick a font size. When you're done, the beautiful candy heart can be saved to the iPhone's library for instant email. According to James, the app is not just good for Valentine's Day, but for birthdays and anniversaries, too. So, rest assured, you'll be using it again.

The folks behind iFlirt decided to skip on doing an introduction and used actual comments from users of their app to show how great it is. One couple, for example, said they used the app for a whole night, having tons of fun. According to the iFlirt page on the iTunes App Store, they took turns telling each other pickup lines until the other one would smile. "It made out night cheesy, fun and random," one of students said.
Best of all, free updates are to be had after buying the $0.99 app. And here's what Layne Moseley plans on adding for next week's release:
- You'll be able to submit your own pickup lines, flirts, dos and don'ts.
- Is there something that your boyfriend does that you don't like and you don't want other girls to have to deal with it? Submit the idea and help a girl out!
- Do you have a pickline that works every time? You'll be able to submit it.
- Updates that you submit will hit the app once or twice a week.
