If you don't have a loud Bluetooth phone, then you might take a look at this baby: Veritronix's latest 13-mm thick Bluetooth speaker, dubbed "VX-818". The speaker can connect to any Bluetooth enabled gizmo.

The main ingredients have to be the Bluetooth connection and the support for a handsfree profile. It also features a miniUSB port meaning you can also wire it to your phone (for instance), standard audio jacks, line-in and line-out 3.5 mm stereo jack. Other features include a built-in mic and USB charging. It will pump audio for 8 hours off a 650mAH Li-ion rechargeable battery (according to the producer of course). Moreover, it boasts touch-sensitive keys for changing volume and answering/ending your calls or pairing with your gizmos.

It is 13mm (0.5 inch) thick, meaning you can easily slip it into one of your pockets. The coolest part has to be the awkward "Speaker" metal tag at the top, and the worst is that it can come off pretty easily. Well, at least they spelled it right.

The device was first unveiled at the Honk Kong Electronics fair in 2007. There is no info on the price though.
