The tablet market for kids is getting increasingly more varied. VTech has just launched two upgraded tablets for young techies called the InnoTab 3S and InnoTab 3.

The InnoTab 3S is the most impressive of the two, featuring a lot of pre-loaded fun and educational materials.

The child-friendly slate features a 5-inch LCD screen, a rotatable 2-megapixel camera, 4GB of internal memory storage which can be expanded to 32GB and a micro SD card.

But what makes this tablet so attractive to kids and parents alike is its pre-loaded content. VTech ships the slate with a safe browser that doesn't allow inappropriate or harming content to pop up on your child's screen.

The browser is adapted as to provide access to child-appropriate websites such as Time For Kids or Cbeebies. Of course, more websites can be added to the offering, by parents.

With the InnoTab 3S kids can connect with their parents and friends by sending photos and voice messages. VTech knows that sending messages wouldn't be all that fun without emoticons so it has stocked the tablet up with up to 100 different ones plus animated stickers.

Young users can ask their parents to install the free and safe Kid Connect app. The network is adult supervised so only a parent has the right to send and approve friend request.

Kids can also use the tablet to download e-books, games, apps, video and music off VTech hub. The digital library offers all time child favorites, with the possibility of looking up words in a dictionary just by taping on them.

The second tablet, the InnoTab 3 is a downgraded version of the one outlined above. The slate features a 4.3-inch LCD touch enabled display and just 15 pre-loaded apps. Most importantly it lacks Wi-Fi capabilities.

The revamped and improved InnoTab 3S is available for purchase for the price of $99.99 / €74, while the InnoTab3 costs $69.99 / €52.
