Are you ready? On August 24, the biggest names in music and showbiz will come together to celebrate a year of excellence in music videos, with MTV’s Video Music Awards, the 2014 edition. The nominees have been announced – and it looks like Beyonce is the leader of the pack.

The diva, who is now on tour with her husband Jay Z, the On the Run Tour, has landed no less than 8 nominations, including in the most important category of the gala, the Video of the Year one.

Eminem and Australian rapper Iggy Azalea also landed plenty of nods, 7 each, but other famous performers also stand good chances of not going home empty-handed. Miley Cyrus, Sia, Pharrell Williams, Lorde, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande are also nominated.

The Video Music Awards 2014 will take place on August 24 at 9 p.m. ET (so you know to put the kids to bed as a precaution, just in case Miley Cyrus is asked to perform live again), at The Forum in Inglewood, California, and will air live.

Below is the list of nominees in all the major categories. For the more technical categories, check out the complete list over at MTV.
