This time, no kung fu-inspired dancing was needed

Earlier this month, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea and British singer Rita Ora released the official music video for their highly mediated collaboration, “Black Widow.” Playing out more like a short film, it was heavily inspired by Quentin Tarantino’s classic “Kill Bill” series, albeit not even half as good.

Last night, the two took to the stage to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards 2014, and while they still rocked leotards as they did in the video, there was no trace of the revenge story included in the video and no more kung fu-inspired dancing.

Seeing how I considered those two the biggest flaws with the official video, I’d say it was a good idea to ditch them. Besides, this way, Rita and Iggy could really stand out.

Instead of all that, the routine included a ballet-inspired choreography, and of course, lots of posing from our two gorgeous ladies, who looked stunning in skintight, black outfits, with spider webs instead of cutouts. As a side note, Iggy’s body is insane!

Iggy was also one of the winners of the night, as her collaboration with Adriana Grande, “Problem,” won Best Pop Video. Sadly, she didn’t win any of the awards she was nominated for on her own. The Aussie was one of the night’s favorites, tying with rapper Eminem with 7 nominations.
