14 DAY TRIAL // Two conclusions became obvious after the 2014 VMAs and were regarded as true by most media outlets: one was that Beyonce and Jay Z aren't getting a divorce, since he showed up on stage to present her an award and it was a heartwarming moment, and the second one was that Beyonce and Solange are now feuding since they sat apart the entire evening.
A report from Hollywoodlife comes to contradict that second statement, quoting an insider at the award show and claiming that the two sisters are not at each other's throats, despite the fact that Solange is generally considered to be at fault for all the divorce rumors since she snapped so violently at Jay Z during that New York hotel elevator attack.
When it was revealed that Solange sat very far from Beyonce and Jay Z at the award show, it was immediately speculated that the two sisters had begun feuding since Bey and Jay were now on speaking terms again and the divorce was off.
Not so, claims an insider who reveals that Solange was actually by her sister's side throughout the evening, just not on camera, “Solange hung out backstage with her sister in her dressing room. She saw everyone and was backstage at the bar and saw Nicki and Taylor.”
Some tabloids suggested that Solange left early because she was humiliated by the diss and couldn't take it anymore. This rumor too is debunked by the knowledgeable insider who points out that “She had to leave because she is busy finishing up her album. She was talking to everyone and she had a great time. She was there for a little bit.”
And to drive home the point that Solange and Beyonce are cool, the source gives an example, “No one says anything about Tina not being there, and they aren’t feuding,” referring to their girls' mother, Tina Knowles.
This is the second rumor regarding Beyonce and her presumably crumbling marriage. The first major rumor was that her incredibly romantic and touching moment on stage with husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy was staged and nothing more than a PR stunt.
The report alleged that the couple would indeed be getting their divorce in mid-September, just as soon as their On the Run tour ended and they cashed in on the proceeds. We're still no closer to the truth after all these months, but if we are to believe the reports, it's all going to come to light in a couple of weeks' time.
