The Video Music Awards 2013 just ended and, as usual, the highly anticipated, annual MTV awards show did not fail to rise to the bar, in terms of explosive performances, shock factor and, last but not least, surprise winners.

Since the winners were voted by fans, one could say that the VMAs are a true reflection of today’s tastes in music videos.

So, the people have spoken, and Justin Timberlake, Macklemore, and Ryan Lewis went home with several of those coveted Moonmen.

The former was awarded the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and also managed to offer fans a treat they had been praying for for years: a brief reunion with his former mates in ‘NSYNC, which also included a performance.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis won several awards, including Best Hip Hop Video and Best Cinematography for “Can’t Hold Us,” and Best Video with a Social Message for “Same Love.”

During the show, Macklemore also took to the stage to perform with none other than the incomparable Jennifer Hudson. But more on that later.

On the topic of performances, we should also mention that Miley Cyrus managed to outshock Lady Gaga, taking to the stage to perform “Blurred Lines” with Robin Thicke in an outfit that left very little, if anything at all, to the imagination.

Gaga also performed, as did Katy Perry, Drake, Kanye West, and Bruno Mars.

Winners also included Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and Pink. Below is the complete list: check it out to see if your favorite made it on it.
