14 DAY TRIAL // Right now, Miley Cyrus is at the center of a storm she created herself, by thinking it would be a good idea to bring her twerking to the MTV Video Music Awards 2013 and gross out pretty much everyone. A 2008 video has gone viral after said performance.
You can check it out in full above. Considering the backlash against Miley right now, it’s almost prophetic even if, at the time, it was created as a satire by famous website The Onion.
It predicts how, by 2013, Miley will have been depleted of all entertainment value unless we (and Disney) manage her resources better and stop overexploiting her.
Guess what has happened since the time it was made?
Thinking of what people are saying of her VMAs performance (how it wasn’t entertainment but a desperate cry for attention, born out of the realization that there is nothing more to offer), it’s almost painful to watch the video, especially if you’re one of the millions to have still been rooting for Miley – until last night.
It also shows how predictable one pop star’s trajectory can be without proper management, which seems to be the case for Miley too.
