14 DAY TRIAL // Either Liam Payne of One Direction doesn’t have a sense of humor or he’s just messing with you guys. Asked after the MTV Video Music Awards 2013 what he thought of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech, he really didn’t mince his words one bit.
Gossip Cop reports that Payne called Taylor a bit “lame” for mentioning an ex while accepting the award for Best Female Video, even though, as I explained at the time, she couldn’t possibly have been talking of Harry Styles.
“I just thought it was a bit not needed. I mean, you just won an award, it’s like, concentrate on yourself! Yeah [she was lame],” Payne said.
However, after making this statement, he seems to have found the funny side in things, the same report notes.
“When she said those things about Niall [Horan], we were very, very [upset],” he joked, before adding, “Hashtag get over it.”
