This year’s edition of the MTV Video Music Awards also included the highly anticipated reunion of ‘NSYNC which, though brief, was enough to give fans of the hit boyband some sort of closure.

According to insiders speaking for US Magazine, it wasn’t enough for the boys themselves, who thought Justin Timberlake, who organized it, wronged them by cutting the performance short.

As I noted the other day, the reunion happened during Justin’s 20-minute performance before he was honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. It lasted only a couple of minutes.

“They were pushing for more,” says a spy of how Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez imagined the reunion would be like.

“While [Justin] was thrilled they could come for him, he didn't want the reunion to be the whole thing. They originally were told that it was going to be more of their old hits, not just Bye Bye Bye — but then Justin reworked it. The guys wished it could have been more songs,” adds the insider.

Admittedly, they accepted the offer because they thought the reunion would be just that: a proper reunion that would include several big hits.
