14 DAY TRIAL // Beyonce and Jay Z skipped this Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards 2013, but they showed up at one of the most star-studded afterparties – and it’s a good thing they did, because Beyonce stopped a fight by “screaming her head off,” according to reports.
Page Six claims that the fight began after rapper J. Cole approached Diddy and his girlfriend Cassie, and started making some very “inappropriate” remarks.
“Sean immediately pounced. Some pushing and shoving happened. No punches were thrown, but it was a visible disturbance. A few bottles splashed to the floor and some partygoers were knocked over, falling on top of Renee Graziano from ‘Mob Wives’,” an insider says.
Another report, this time in the NYDN, notes that the fighting stopped when Beyonce, who was close to the two rappers, started screaming. Jay Z swept in to the rescue.
“It was mayhem. Beyoncé was yelling to stop and Jay Z was separating people and getting people away from Bey,” says another insider.
When everyone was cool again, Diddy took the microphone, apologized and urged everyone to continue having a good time despite the interruption.
