Taylor Swift is getting the hang of this: after trying to get people to stop talking about her love life and speculating about who her latest song is, she’s finally playing along. Check out her acceptance speech for Best Female at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards 2013.

Taylor, for those who didn’t keep up with the VMA frenzy, was up against Rihanna (“Stay”), Miley Cyrus (“We Can’t Stop”), Pink (“Just Give Me a Reason”) and Demi Lovato (“Heart Attack”).

She was nominated for “I Knew You Were Trouble” and she actually torched the ex who helped her win the award by inspiring her for the song.

“I want to thank the person who inspired the song, who knows exactly who is he, because now I have one of these,” she said, clutching her Moonman.

Check it out in the video below.

You will note that the camera zoomed in on Harry Styles of One Direction in the audience, which is pretty funny considering that Taylor actually wrote the song before they became romantically involved.

The best guess is that she was talking about John Mayer or Jake Gyllenhaal.
