VMAs 2012: Kevin Hart’s Opening Monolog

By now, we’ve become accustomed to the idea that an opening monolog at an awards show, be it in film or music, must include a few digs at celebrities. Kevin Hart, host of the MTV Video Music Awards 2012 was no exception.

Though he promised to pick on everybody in the course of the night, it became clear from the opening speech that he wasn’t really going to do so.

Check out the video below to find out what he had to say and especially what celebrities he namedropped.

We’ll give you just a hint on what to expect: Chris Brown and Drake, Frank Ocean, Snooki and her new baby boy Lorenzo Dominic and, last but not least, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

It wasn’t as sharp or biting as he aimed to make it sound, but it was certainly entertaining enough.
