14 DAY TRIAL // Though packed with crazy, energetic performances meant to keep audiences on their feet, the MTV Video Music Awards 2012 were not completely devoid of touching, emotional moments as well.
One of them was, as we also noted shortly ago, Alicia Keys’ fiery performance of “Girl on Fire” (obvious pun we could not resist).
The other was Frank Ocean’s understated but extremely good rendition of his latest hit single “Thinking ‘Bout You.”
Frank was introduced onstage by “Avatar” actress Zoe Saldana but she wasn’t the only one to have very nice things to say about him as a person and an artist.
Kevin Hart also gave him a shoutout in his opening monolog, saluting him for being bold enough to finally come out of the closet.
